Digivoice Fault Finding

System power supply Ref.1038/20

Fault: The led “ON” of power supply unit is off.
Solution: Check the mains, if it is ok then disconnect the terminal “+V” and measure the voltage between terminals “+V” and “0V”.If the reading is between +21Vdc and +24Vdc, section the system in order to find the short-circuit on the powering line (+V; 0V); while if the reading is lower than +21Vdc, replace the power supply unit.


Fault: The “ON” led of the power supply is red on.
Solution: Check the connections of the powering line (+V; 0V), as the led “ON” red shows that terminals “+V” of two or more power supplies are connected together.


Fault: The “ON” led of the power supply is red flashing.
Solution: Check all power supply units in the system, only one must be set as “MASTER” (jumper M1-M2). Check the terminal “DE” of “MASTER” power supply, as this terminal must not be used in this power supply unit.


Fault: The “DE” led of the power supply is on.
Solution: Measure the voltage between terminals “DE” and “0D”, if the voltage is lower than +13,5Vdc, find the reason of voltage drop or short-circuit.If the “DE” led is on in the “MASTER” power supply, check the terminal “DE” It must not be used.


Fault: The “DU” led of the power supply is on.
Solution: Measure the voltage between terminals “DU” and “0D”, if the voltage is lower than +13,5Vdc, find the reason of voltage drop or short-circuit.




Call modules Ref.1038/10 -/12 -/16

Fault: The call module does not start up.
Solution: Measure the voltage between terminals “+V” and “0V”, if the voltage is lower than +16Vdc, find the reason of voltage drop or short-circuit.


Fault: The call module shows “ERROR DATA LINE” or “Err3”.
Solution: Measure the voltage between terminals “D” and “0V”, if the voltage is lower than +13,5Vdc, find the reason of voltage drop or short-circuit.


Fault: The call module shows “EEPROM ERROR” or “ErCE”.
Solution: Enter the programming mode of the call module directly by its keyboard and then scroll through all programming steps until you exit the programming mode.




Call modules Ref.1038/12 -/16 only

Fault: The call module shows “FLASH ERROR”.
Solution: Enter the names and door opener codes programming of the call module directly by its keyboard, when the call module shows the first programming window then exit the programming mode.

Digitizers Ref.1038/5 -/62

Fault: The digitizer does not give out any confirm tone when making a call.
Solution: Measure the voltage between terminals “+V” and “0V”, if the voltage is lower than +16Vdc, find the reason of voltage drop or short-circuit.


Fault: The digitizer gives out a stream of 6 beeps every 3 seconds.
Solution: Measure the voltage between terminals “D” and “0V”, if the voltage is lower than +13,5Vdc, find the reason of voltage drop or short-circuit.


Fault: The digitizer gives out a stream of beeps every 5 seconds.
Solution: Enter the programming mode of the digitizer by programming terminal Ref.1038/55 v.2.00 or Ref.1038/56 and then scroll all programming steps until you exit the programming mode.


Fault: Only the first eight keys of digitizer work properly.
Solution: Check the connection between the digitizer and the expander modules.




4 User decoders Ref.1038/34 -/35 and door phone with single decoder Ref.1138/31

Fault: When pressing the programming key the led does not light up.
Solution: Measure the voltage between terminals “+V” and “0V” of decoder box, if the voltage is lower than +16Vdc, then find the reason of voltage drop or short-circuit.


Fault: The programming led flashes continuously.
Solution: Measure the voltage between terminals “D” and “0V”, if the voltage is lower than +13,5Vdc, find the reason of voltage drop or short-circuit.




Switchboard Ref.1038/40

Fault: The switchboard does not start up.
Solution: Measure the voltage between terminals “+V” and “0V” of switchboard, if the voltage is lower than +16Vdc, find the reason of voltage drop or short-circuit.


Fault: The display shows “ERROR DATA LINE”.
Solution: Measure the voltage between terminals “D” and “0V”, if the voltage is lower than +13,5Vdc, find the reason of voltage drop or short-circuit.
